I've been creating a lot of "how to" posts lately, so I decided to switch it up with some movie reviews. I love old movies, and one of my favorite actors is Cary Grant. So I decided to list my favorite Cary Grant movies for you.
I'm somewhat of a hopeless romantic, and Cary Grant is known for playing a lot of leading roles in romantic comedies. If you haven't watched any on this list, then I have just created your weekend plans. I'm not going to give very detailed summaries, I don't want to spoil anything. So you'll just have to trust me. And let me know what you think after watching them!
1. To Catch a Thief (1955)

Starting off strong, we have the Alfred Hitchcock mystery staring Carry Grant and Grace Kelly. You heard that right. Grace Kelly, who would become the Princess of Monaco just one year later. Need I say more?
2. Arsenic and Old Lace (1943)

Comedy, old ladies, dead bodies, murder, and plastic surgery. I don't want to spoil the plot if you haven't seen it. Give it a go.
3. That Touch of Mink (1962)

This movie stars one of the best actresses of this time period - Doris Day. Don't at me. I could write an entire separate post about Doris Day's best movies too. I think you'll enjoy this one.
4. Charade (1963)

Ok, now I'm questioning my previous statement on Doris Day. This film stars Audrey Hepburn. AUDREY HEPBURN. Are you starting to notice a trend here with Cary Grant? He can pull pretty much anyone.
5. Operation Petticoat (1959)

Set in World War II, this film has a little of everything: war, comedy, and romance.
6. Houseboat (1958)

A widower (Cary Grant) has three children and finds a maid to help take care of his three children...on a houseboat.
7. Father Goose (1964)

This film could have the same description as "Operation Petticoat." Another romantic comedy set in World War II, but Cary Grant plays a very different character, so don't skip this one.
